Sidney turned 15 months a few days ago! She is becoming more and more little girl and less and less baby every day. It's amazing how fast she changes!
She is a busy little munchkin walking around exploring everything. She LOVES the outdoors and demands frequent outside adventures. She will bring us her coat and/or shoes to be put on and then go wait, not so patiently, by the door.
Things she is really enjoying lately: swings, slides, climbing, dirt, rocks, being chased, water (to drink and to play in), putting things into containers, her mini soccer ball and cuddling with blankets and pillows...oh also cat food...a strange new fascination for her. She wants to be picked up to look at the cat food bowls and wants to play with the container that holds the cat food. She gets really upset when it is time to stop cat food play time.
She is also picking up more and more words. She continues to amaze us with how much she understands what we are saying. Some of her words are: ball, dog, more, mama, car (this also applies to trucks and buses, which she really likes), nana (banana). She also signs to let us know she wants milk, water, food, help or swing time (she made up her own sign for that one). In addition to her waving hello and goodbye she is also now giving a Sidney version of blowing kisses. It wins "ahhhhs" all over town.
