The past couple of months have been filled with big changes for Sidney. She has gone from HATING tummy time to being champion roller. She has really mastered her rolling and now really enjoys time on her belly. She even rolls herself over, while swaddled, to sleep on her tummy. She has also gotten really good at reaching and grabbing and her little hands are busy reaching out for anything in view. She loves feeling the different textures of things around her and will become quite enthralled with the experience of a texture that is new to her. Here she is experiencing a cantaloupe. I think she's going to be a fruit lover like her mama.
Other big events that have happened in the last month include her first haircut...yes with all that hair she needed a haircut at 4 months! We just cut some off the back which has helped avoid the daily tangles that were forming. On a less exciting note, I went back to work last month. I miss Sidney so much when I'm away, but she is having a good time with Nana and Saba while we are at work. It has been such a nice transition back to work leaving her with my parents. We SO appreciate them taking care of her. I take it as a sign that things are going well when we pick Sidney up early and Nana complains that we owe her time as she reluctantly hands Sidney back to us.
Here are some photos showing some of her latest activities:
Sidney has also been enjoying her social time with all her friends and family. We are going backward in chronological order here...
Sidney with her cousins Isaak and Micah. Micah's not mad, she's just decided she doesn't want to smile in any pictures for now. This is their second trip to spend time with Sidney. They are both super sweet and loving with Sidney. They take turns holding her, playing with her and pushing her in the stroller. After their first trip they determined that they should see her regularly as she grows up. We agree and love any extra time we get to spend with them.
Phil loves his baby Sidney. He always lets us know when we've been holding her too long. "Okay, give me Sidney."
