The Bee

Sidney just keeps growing and developing new skills...it's truly amazing to watch. A couple of weeks ago she was on my lap and we were looking at a soft "book" that Simon and Janine gave us. For the first time, she really engaged with the book. She realized that she could reach out and touch the bee wings and that they moved and made a delicious crinkly noise when she touched them. She really took to the bee wings and was entertained by this new activity for about 30 minutes! Luckily I had my phone near by and was able to capture some shots of her. I was in an awkward place for taking photos, but they will give you the idea.







And of course some of her award winning smiles at the end.


Getting a little sleepy...

Extra shout out to Janine and Simon for the great book and a huge Mazel Tov to them for the birth of their baby girl, Ava Brynn Gottheiner, born this morning!

Cousins meet

Mother's day was a big deal- Dorothy's first mother's day...AND Sidney got to meet her new cousin Hannah Halem (Daughter of Lily- Dorothy's oldest sister) who was born just six days after Sidney.

We all convened at the senior Epstein's house on the west side for a little bagel nosh and much welcomed sun.






Later, after a bunch of socializing, 'some' people where tuckered out and needed naps.

2 Months!

Today Sidney turns 2 months old. Hard to believe that we didn't yet know our sweet baby girl such a short time ago! Our time with her so far has been unbelievably wonderful. In honor of her 2 months we are finally starting a blog as a way to document her as she grows and to keep our friends and family satisfied (hopefully) with a flow of photos and information.
Part of the reason we chose a blog format is to encourage an interactive environment so please comment and communicate with us here!

Sidney started full on interactive smiling about 4 weeks ago. I think April 12th was the first clearly "social" smile. They are unbelievably contagious...
